You can block or allow emails from certain senders using blacklists and whitelists. This configuration can be done for all users or on a per-user basis.
SpamAssassin
We utilize cutting-edge tools and analysis for spam filtering, including SpamAssassin, an intelligent email filter that uses a diverse range of tests to identify unsolicited bulk email.
URL Blacklisting
We maintain our own list of known spam sites and utilize third-party lists in order to give you the most comprehensive protection.
Mail Header Authentication
Since spammers typically forge their identity, we utilize industry standard techniques to verify senders are using authorized mail servers.
Rules
Using keywords and other complex equations, we built our own rules that accurately recognize spam from valid e-mail.
Rate controls
Dictionary attacks - in which repeated email attempts are made from a single location to multiple invalid accounts on the same domain -- give a spammer away. We can identify these attacks and temporarily stop accepting email from senders that are using this tactic.
Open Source Technologies
MailLaunder uses all open-source technologies including: PostgreSQL database, XMail mail server, Linux operating system, Perl code and PHP front-end.
No installation required
It's simple! Our solution works with any mail server platform (from UNIX to Linux to Windows Exchange), and we'll work directly with your network administrator to point your domain's MX record to our servers. All of your messages will be safely routed through the MailLaunder System, then:
If the e-mail contains a virus, we notify you and the sender that the threat has been contained.
If the e-mail is spam, it's sent to the MailLaunder Quarantine (see below for more information).
All valid messages are sent immediately to your in-box.
Virus Protection
While spam is an annoyance, a virus threatens both your system and your business. The MailLaunder System scans for these threats throughout the day to ensure that messages containing viruses will never be sent to your in-box.
Web-based Quarantine
Twice a day, we'll send you an e-mail that lists all of the spam messages that we diverted from your in-box to our Quarantine database. Just log into the system at your convenience and review the spam messages intended for you. You can then forward any messages of interest to your in-box, and you can mark the rare false positive so that we know to deliver this type of message to you directly in the future.
Extensive configuration
Subscribers have full control over their setup with the ability to configure whitelists and blacklists of email addresses at the user-level. The same whitelist/blacklist configuration can be done at the domain-level. For example, a company can create whitelists for all users of the system, which enables an administrator to easily allow or deny certain email addresses for an entire domain.
